Drugdealer – The End Of Comedy
Drugdealer aka Michael Collins (formerly of Run DMT, Salvia Plath) teams up with Ariel Pink and the wonderful Natalie Mering (aka Weyes Blood). I love the stop start nature of this summery lead track with Mering straying into a Karen Carpenteresque delivery.

Teenage Fanclub - Here
Age hasn't diminished the melodic charms of the Fanclub. This 10th album is the effortless work of a band entirely confident in their own craft with decades of songwriting craft and near telepathic musicianship.

Okkervil River - Away
Will Sheff says this is not really an Okkervil River album and it’s also his favourite Okkervil River album. The comments are possibly explained by the revolving door of musicians leaving and arriving, but there's also a suggestion that he's had enough of the music industry. If he's fed up he is expressing it in an eloquent fashion!

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Skeleton Tree
There are no advance details of the new album but given Cave's recent family tragedy, this album is likely to be a raw affair. I am preparing to listen to it with my hands over my eyes.

Jack White - Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016
For those needing a JC fix since his last solo album, this famous fan of vinyl has released a double album of 26 acoustic numbers taken from B-sides, rarities and album tracks and unreleased material, stretching right back the first White Stripes album in 2000, De Stijl. to later collaborations with the Raconteurs and more. City Lights, for example, was left off the White Stripes album Get Behind Me Satan, until a 2015 vinyl reissue in 2015, with this version finished in 2016.

This week's selection is by Michael Moloney, aka llamalpaca from the vinyl-only record and design store, Chameleon, with additions by The Landlord.
