Filled with thoughtful, tuneful, breezy, and cleverly crafted numbers, this is the third LP of indie pop project of LA producer Sarah Tudzin (known for boygenius and Weyes Blood) and is also co-produced with John Congleton. There are shades of Breeders and Mitski and Cardigans in her sound, with strong in production simplicity and directness, and inspired by life’s ups and downs over the last three years, including the death of her mother, and new romance. Highlights include Can’t Be Still, about the the state of restlessness of modern life, the perky I Would Like, Still Love You, the thumping fuzz guitar of The L, the singalong mainstream rock-pop of Didn’t (with Caveman) and the wistful title track. Nothing new, but done with professional, breezy style. Out on Snack Shack Tracks / Hopeless Records.
