As groovy-funk-psych-pop as it gets. The thrumming, majestic single Frosty was previously a Song of the Day, and now this cosmos-themed album by by producers and multi-instrumentalists Mike Stroud (from Ratatat) and Agustin White (White Flight), follows keeps the fun, and the standard high. Opener Lemon Swayze brings in layers of unabashed vocal harmonies and guitar overdubs over a synth groove. Jupiter and Saturn are two of the standouts which feature a strong fuzz lead, Flux harks back to a 70s vibe, Halohead is a wonderful indulgence of psych OTT, Supreme Beam is a clunking odyssey of beats, flutes and heavy bass riffs. A joy from start to finish. Out on Lowly / Wilder.
