A bright, sparkly blend of wistful, ethereal dream pop, space rock, a little French disco and electronica by Brighton’s core of siblings Jack and Lily Wolter and a fine follow-up to the 2019 debut LP Until the Tide Creeps In. Highlights include Iced Gems, Rocking At The Bottom, the upbeat fear of opener Terrified, the dynamically soaring rock-pop number Miss Moon, and the gorgeous slower number Sailing Still, previously one of our Songs of the Day, as well as the melancholy but beautiful Sodoku. The band are joined by English composer, orchestral arranger, and violinist Fiona Brice who adds extra sonic dimension and style, particular on Sailing Still and 11 11. Overall breath of fresh air that trips along merrily with texture and intelligence, and feels both melancholy and comforting. Out on Bella Union.
