An upbeat, wonderfully catchy and evocative new LP release by the Blur guitarist of pop-indie-disco-funk-prog numbers as soundtrack to a set of 15 graphic novel sci-fi stories, in a dystopian setting stemmed from his passion for the genre. It features robots and fembots, evil controlling super rich, strangely altered relationship rules, drugs and various forms of social control, celebrity turkey shoots, violent astral projection and an all-new take on the TV dinner. Musically it combines everything from King Crimson to Sly and Family Stone, with a dash of LCD Soundsystem, shaped by a series of characters and narrators, joined also by some guest lead vocalists Sharlene Hector, Valentina Pappalardo and Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne. The book is co-created with Hellen Mullane and Alex Pakandel. Standout tracks include Yoga Town, The Astral Light, The Ball of Light, Bullets, and Butterfly. Released by Graham Coxon.
