A tribute to the sadly departed New Orleans pianist, and singer and songwriter, Antoine 'Fats' Domino Jr, who reached the ripe old age of 89. This more-than-appropriate number for today was co-written with composer and arranger Dave Bartholomew, released in 1955, and, while a very sad song, still exemplifies the joyful charisma and technique of the great performer. It was also recorded by Pat Boone. Rest in peace.
You made me cry when you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You're the one to blame
You broke my heart when you said we'll part
Ain't that a shame
My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame
You're the one to blame
