Released earlier in 2020, a sample of the fabulously energised music of the musicians’ collective in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, led by eco activist Pisko Crane who play instruments made from recycled rubbish. Fulu Miziki means “music from the garbage”. The group includes performing artist Aicha Mena Kanieba, Le Meilleur, DeBoul, La Roche, Padou, Sekelembele, and Tche Tche. Costumes area also made by the performers, with a unique style to embellish a pan-African message of artistic liberation, peace put the ecological situation of DRC under the spotlight.
