More foxiness, with different association, and today we're getting unashamedly sexy on SOTD with a number that may not even be Jimi's greatest, but shows off every aspect of his incomparable panache and technique. Also known as Foxey Lady and originally from the Jimi Hendrix Experience 1967 debut album Are You Experienced?, every note the great man's genius pours out, from the single note sustained vibrato at the beginning, the funk-jazz dominant seventh sharp ninth chord (G B D F A♯), delicate licks, slides in and out of blues scales, plus feedback, not to mention the sleazy, sultry way he delivers the lyrics, is all enough to make any listener salivate. Jimi may be after the lady here, but he's definitely the top fox every other guy aspires to be.
