Characteristically slow but wonderfully paced, with eerie, dreamlike deep brass and twittering woodwind, this evocatively clever number is an example why this Dripping Springs, Texas-based indie band are admired by Brian Eno. Formed in 2016, Loma comprises members from two bands Emily Cross and Dan Duszynski (Cross Record), and Jonathan Meiburg (Shearwater). Loma’s new album, Don’t Shy Away, is due out in October on Sub Pop. More of their work can also be enjoyed here.
Roll me down the center line
Run me through the changes
Hold me in the summer light
Creosote
Ocotillo
Sun is like an open eye
Big wind is blowing over
Lead me to another life
All my ties are broken
I'm in wonderful
Disarray
