Heralding her forthcoming next album, LATE SLAP, the London-based Canadian-Serbian singer-songwriter releases a beautifully disarming, woozily alternative folk single with deliciously droll originality, reminiscent of Cate Le Bon. Out on Full Time Hobby.
LATE SLAP, due for release on 5 April, will be Dana Gavanski's third album, recorded in Margate with Mike Lindsay (best known for Tunng, LUMP (with Laura Marling). Dana explains that: “This album is my take on the tension between cynicism/despair and openness/trust. It’s about tenderness in a world that’s constantly trying to desensitize us.

Plentiful and bountiful
I want to take my time
Plain to see the things that don't
Make my morning bright
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel uncomfortable
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel alive
Stand too close
Face in your phone
It's scrambling your mind
Tired of your zombie glow
Soaking up your eyes
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel uncomfortable
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel alive
Tonight
Tonight
Outside, unofficial
It comes unsaid
Move me to the window
It calms my head
It calms my, it calms my head
It calms my, it calms my
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel uncomfortable (Huh!)
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel alive
How to feel, how to feel
How to feel uncomfortable
