A beautiful, smooth fusion of afrobeat, jazz and pop by the Hackney-born Nigerian artist Dele Sosimi who was raised in Fela Kuti's commune, with a pair songs about about fortitude, and also acceptance and acknowledgement of individual creativity, the latter produced by Get Cape’s Sam Duckworth. The original language of Mo Ṣe B'ọ́lá Tán is Yoruba, translated in the video to English by Tunde Adegbola. The songs comes from the forthcoming album, Confluence, released in April.
Dele and Sam were introduced at Felabration 2012, the annual commemoration of the music of Fela Kuti. The Estuary 21 band is completed by Callum Green (The Sleeping Souls, GCWCF), Philip Van Den Brandeler (Pocket Dragon, GCWCF), Pete Fraser (The Pogues, Field Music), Afla Sackey (Afla Sackey & Afrik Bawantu, Ibibio Sound Machine), Aby Dosunmu (Dele Sosimi), Sam Ewens (Myles Sanko) with guest appearances from Sam Eagle and Essex percussionist Snowboy.
