The mischievously erudite British post-punk experimentalists return with a gently caustic, darkly sinister Leonard Cohen-style take on cultural narcissism with a video parodying art and self-expression. Frontman Lias Saoudi comments that: “Abject narcissism is our only real code of conduct anymore. Everything is thinly veiled self-interest. The post-modern post social media condition constitutes a complete death of outwardness. We are smothered by the infinite present.” Out on Domino Records.
The video, a portrait of corrupt ambition, aesthetic incest and the history of abstract expressionism, was shot in Paris and directed by The Dream Machine and Michael William West.

You are what you sacrifice
Amalgam of pain, should your
Misplaced foresight
Lead you to my door again
Roll out them shekels, babe
Spit out that cum
My conscience dissipating
Your vanity's firstborn runt
Just a cat drinking
Its own reflection
You're not the picture
Not even the frame
Just a dog drinking
Up my reflection
You're fishing for pain
Religion for one
Your fear of failure and ambition the same thing
You will never get a table at the Dorsia within
Finish off this pedicure
Redirect the plane
Your armour protecting nothing
Your sympathy's driest month
Just a byproduct of my rеsentment
You're not thе picture
Not even the frame
Just a dog drinking
Up my reflection
You're squandering pain
Religion for one
