Infectiously rhythmical and eccentric new track from the forthcoming new EP Ngbaka by the collective formed in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, whose original musical instruments are self-made from, as in in their name, ‘music from the garbage’. Now based in Kampala, Uganda. Their costumes are also original, with a unique style and energy to express a pan-African message of artistic liberation, peace and to put the ecological situation of DRC under the spotlight. Out on Moshi Moshi Records. See more of their work in the embedded links below or to buy the EP from Bandcamp, and also a 2020 single, Tikanga, a previous Song of the Day.
