The acid jazz, soul and hip hop band returns after almost three decades with a vibrant new ode-to-dance and spoken number namechecking influential artists, musicians and from Arthur Russell to Ian Dury to Andrew Weatherall, and heralds the the forthcoming album Halfway Somewhere, out on Browswood Recordings on 30 August. Galliano is the voice and lyrics of Rob Gallagher and his partner, vocalist Valerie Etienne, with stalwarts Ernie McKone on bass, Crispin Taylor on drums, and Ski Oakenfull on keyboards (with guests including saxophonist Jason Yarde, Bémbé Ségué (vox) and percussionist Crispin ‘Spry’ Robinson).
