Delicate, glistening, smooth, dreamy folk-pop with chord changes of gentle vulnerability in this love song about never really knowing someone, by the singer-songwriter and resident of New York’s Catskill Mountains, heralding her upcoming fourth album, Earthstar Mountains, out on 28 March via Bella Union. The new LP is a follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed Welcome Home. The single comes with a beautifully bucolic video directed by CJ Harvey filmed in the Catskills over the span of a year’s four seasons. The album is described as a love letter to the Catskills, one worked on with her partner and collaborator Sam Evian at their recording studio Flying Cloud, featuring contributions from Sufjan Stevens, Clairo, Sean Mullins, Liam Kazar, Oliver Hill and others.
