With beautifully crisp bass, beats, woodwind and lyrics, and the additional voice of Anna B. Savage and saxophone by Robert Stillman, this gorgeous single celebrating “the miraculous in the mundane” heralds the debut solo album of the multi-talented musician and Mercury Prize-winning producer, best known as co-founder of folktronica pioneers Tunng, and LUMP with Laura Marling. The album, Supershapes Volume 1, due out on 14th June, thematically looks at “everyday domestic objects, especially tables, coffee table books, and the daily rituals that shape us, heavily focusing on the majestic in the domestic”, a theme first conceived around his own dining table at home in Margate. Delicious. Out on Moshi Moshi.
