The title track from New York musician Margaret Sohn’s debut album, an experimental fusion of electronica and fuzz guitar with sensual vocals, with a video in which she portrays her “body in the cyber world, allowing the different variations of my ghost to move about freely. I wanted to look a little freakish, unrecognisable to myself to avoid my instinctive filtration.” The album, also featuring musical contributions from Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, Aron Kobayashi Ritch of Momma, and Pearla, is out in Februay on Mute Records. I’ll wake up pretending
Then I’ll wake up again
Leave my mouth wide open
Then let her say the rest
‘Cause I was born to pose
Oh, I was born with clothes
I’m a living girl
A real living girl
Your real living girl
On all of my screens
She’s in all of my mirrors
Through the window
Inside my home
I am alone
I am my ghost
Through the window
Inside my home
I am alone
I am my ghost
I am my
‘Cause I was born to pose
Oh, I was born with clothes
‘Cause I was born to pose
Oh, I was born with clothes
I’m a living girl
A real living girl
Your real living girl
I’m a living boy
A real living boy
Your real living boy
Born again
Not again
Born again
Not again
