Inspired by the genre’s origins in New Orleans in belly of the Mississippi River, rooted in the gumbo pot of the Caribbean, South American culture and African rituals, through to Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Nina Simone, Rahssan Roland Kirk and many more, Yussef in joined byt dazzling talents including Rocco Palladino on the bass, Charlie Stacey on piano and other keyboards, Venna (saxophone), and Alexander Bourt (percussion).
