This third LP by Canadian singer multi-instrumentalist Evan Uschenko and drummer Ille van Dessel, comes with a darker, moodier, goth-noir-psych-garage-rock smokiness. From standout Yoko, which has a meaty, twangy high-octane pace, to the slower Juan, or Alright, the title track, Bonehead, all the way to the talky closing track, Buik, there’s powerful, broody, stormy menace throughout. Out on Full Time Hobby. See also Song of the Day Yoko and some previous work here.
