Biting class social satire from the silly to searing and hilarious are all delivered in this catchy, fun third album of electro-pop with added trumpet by the south London band, packed with toe-tapping melodies and caustic, killer lines. After previous album Bastard Music and HiFi Classics, Enjoy for example, the lovely synth lines and droll delivery by frontman Zsa Zsa Sapien in Posh People in Pop: “My mum loved Bryan Ferry. How much? Very Very”, and “I’ve got a chip on my shoulder the size of a reinforced concrete boulder.” Opener Lovesong Industrial Complex has a fabulous dance music momentum (“There is nothing wrong with a song about lov’ But they are rarely ever platonic / Lots of full bloodied lust and crying in your gin and tonic”). More to enjoy includes Robots, Lambeth Walk, Secret Fizzy Wine Drinker, the carefree, quirky Power Shower “delusions of grandeur in the wet room”, the nostalgic feel of the love song about a couple who are petty criminal Smallest Gang: “Our love is the membership fee”. London Electro-pop’s answer to Half Man Half Biscuit. Out on Blang Limited.
