A Winged Victory For The Sullen – Iris
Erased Tapes kick off 2017 with another cracking dollop of minimalist modern composition. It's the score to Jalil Lespert's Iris, so perhaps not a huge departure for Adam Bryanbaum Wiltzie and Dustin O'Halloran who have fleshed out the electronica with a Hungarian 40-piece string orchestra.

Run the Jewels - Run the Jewels 3
The physical release of the third album by the US hip-hop collaborators Killer Mike and EL-P appears to continue attracting widespread acclaim with their politically savvy and sharp social commentary. This one includes guest appearances from Danny Brown, Joi Gilliam, Trina, Boots, Tunde Adebimpe, and Kamasi Washington.
