OMD – Isotype
A welcome return to Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark’s trademark early sound with Kraftwerk-inspired mono synths married to their very own pop sensibility – this is taken from their new The Punishment Of Luxury album.

Michael Chapman – Fully Qualified Survivor
An interesting re-issue of Chapman's second album from Light In The Attic which is at the spaced-out folk end of his work. There are some interesting contributions from a pre-Bowie era Mick Ronson and Steeleye Span's Rick Kemp. The album is produced by Gus Dudgeon and very much informs his work on Bowie's Space Oddity.

Ben Lukas Boysen & Sebastian Plano – Everything OST
Enter the all-encompassing universe of Everything, based on an interactive world from game creator David O'Reilly. Whether you decide to take the role of a microbe inside a plant in the desert, or a star in the furthermost galaxy, each layer of the game is coated with ambience which takes the simulation even further into the limitless boundaries of each world. Composers Ben Lukas Boysen and Sebastian Plano have shaped this experience with an intricate four-hour soundscape with narration by philosopher Alan Watts. The album is released on Erased Tapes with a free download of the game.

Arcade Fire – Everything Now
From Everything to Everything Now. We previewed this a few weeks ago, and now the album comes out later this week. The introduction of co-producers Thomas Bangalter and Steve Mackey and the Abba-inspired title track suggested a possible change in direction but elsewhere fans of the Montreal band will find themselves on very familiar ground. There's a deluxe Night version of the album available on CD and vinyl formats.
Arcade Fire - Creature Comfort
This week's selection is by Michael Moloney, aka llamalpaca from the vinyl-only record and design store, Chameleon, with additions by The Landlord.
