Classy rockin’ psychedelic soul from the Black Keys man Dan Auerbach’s side project, returning with a stellar supergroup of musicians including co-founder Leon Michels and members of the Dap-Kings, as well as a moving tribute LP to the Arcs’ late singer Richard Swift who died in 2018. Nashville infused organ, guitars, horns and more intertwine in a finely prepared late-60s stew. Heaven Is a Place is particularly poignant, and Swift’s voice is still present as the recordings for this album are part of those made between The Arcs’ first album of 2015, Yours, Dreamily, and Swift’s death. Other standouts include Keep On Dreamin’, Sunshine, Behind The Eyes and Only One For Me. Out on Easy Eye Sound.
