A song of the times. This thunderous combination of drums, screaming horns and call-and-answer vocals by the Irish producer and guests is a catch-all protest against ongoing global farce and lies, from Covid-19 to climate change, Trump to Johnson to Brexit. Garret ‘Jacknife’ Lee is a former guitarist for the punk band Compulsion, but has worked with numerous high-profile artists from the The Cars, U2, R.E.M. to Bloc Party to The Killers. This new track features vocals from Beth Ditto from The Gossip, and the American record producer, vocalist, and songwriter Earl St. Clair. Released on Slow Kids Records.
I’m getting tired of feeling run down now.
Anxiety’s high as buildings downtown.
I want to hide until the sun goes down.
Turning the tide.
I hope I don’t drown.
I’m getting tired
