A brilliantly wonky and original mixture of clever, oddball riff, arrhythmic post-punk/new wave by the Stoke on Trent trio from their upcoming self-titled EP, with echoes of XTC and Talking Heads and Scary Monsters-era Bowie, their influences also include Neu, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Devo, Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies and Conny Plank’s experimental recording techniques. The band are Beck Clewlow (bass, vocals, synths) Charlie Ball (guitar, synths), and Connor Wells (drums, guitar, synths). To explore and enjoy more by this unusually spelled band, see also the other embedded links below. Out on Melodic Records.
