This track from the first part of the London collective’s new 30-track trilogy album If You See Something That Doesn’t Look Right is a heavily deadpan ironic list song about political, social and cultural trends of a slow-creep malaise. Their style on this track, written by Morag Bruce and Kevin Retoryka, is a postpunk/ indie/ shoegaze/ krautrock fusion with a talking delivery, but the group are highly eclectic, mixing discordant guitar fuzz and hazy psychedelia, late 60s-indebted folk and lilting melodic hooks, via tinkling piano ballads, drum machine precision and perky synth pop.
