Acieeed! Packed with cleverly crafted bangers and a mischievously daft long title, wonderfully retro, yet fresh and chemically inspiring dance electronica in this project by Sheffield’s Adrian Flanagan and Dean Honer, known also for International Teachers Of Pop, Moonlandingz and Eccentronic Research Council. Joined by a series of guest vocalists including Maria Uzor, Cat Rin, Soft Focus, Charlotte Kemp Muhl and more, with sexy whisperings over a series of fabulous beats, basslines, synth lines and robotic voices, we also hear from old friends RIchard Hawley, Hannah Hu and actress Maxine Peake on the come-down gently serene, and darkly humorous final two tracks, My Hats On Fire and Eulogy to A Quiet Life. Much to enjoy and feel stimulated by, especially the title track, Party Sized Away Day, Blow Your Speakers, Crashing Cars In Ibiza, Elevate, and I Used To Be A DJ in A Club (But Now I’m Just a DJ In My Bedroom), but there’s infinite joy and and detailed music jest throughout.
