Slick, clever, catchy and quirky, this electro-pop mixtape by the Irish artist Jessica Smyth, who has also released songs in Spanish, brims with breathy pomp and superbly tight production. Standouts include Kerosene, This Is What They Meant, Picking Up, and the stripped back Ghosting, where her voice, on both of those latter two, echoes that whispering, intimate Billie Eilish style, but also soars rather beautifully as she also moves into Spanish. Very promising. Out on Sony.
