Good vibes and upbeat sounds mark this third LP by the American funk and soul group fronted by Jones as well as the higher range of co-singer and drummer Aaron Frazer who collectively mix in 70s disco and pop. These are the kind of guys you’d want at your party - it’s a fresh blend of sound emanating a joy that will brighten any venue. Witchoo is particular example of infectious disco and funk with a dash of R&B and hip hop, while Love Will Work It Out grooves along in with slow, but undeniable panache and confidence, starting off the album where it means to go on. This feels like The Isley Brothers, the Temptations and Earth, Wind & Fire all rolled into one feelgood package. Other standouts include the title track and The Way That I Do. Out on Dead Oceans.
