Car Seat Headrest – Teens Of Denial
Evidently Will Toledo seems to be better at making music than naming bands. On Denial, Toledo moves from bedroom pop to something approaching classic-rock grandeur, with nods to the Cars, Pavement, Jonathan Richman, Wire, and William Onyeabor.

Nonkeen – Oddments Of The Gamble
Nonkeen is Nils Frahm alongside Sebastian Singwald and Frederic Gmeiner and their second album is a continuation of the unique, analogue concoctions that formed their debut – The Gamble – very much like a ‘part two’ in many ways. Expect pensive loops and melodies, sweeping arpeggios, post-rock jams, and rolling jazz breaks.

Michael Kiwanuka – Love & Hate
Second album from the much lauded soul singer-songwriter from north London, on the back of recently supporting Carole King in Hyde Park. The single (below) has been something of a summer smash, but the album could take him into the mainstream.

Darren Hayman and Papernut Cambridge - I've Been a Bad Bad Boy
I know I know - it's only a single. But I've listened to it three times in a row and it's fun!
Jimi Hendrix – Smash Hits
A very recognisable album gets a reissue using its original 1969 format and this great photo!
Jimi Hendrix - The Wind Cries Mary
This week's selection is by Michael Moloney, aka llamalpaca from the vinyl-only record and design store, Chameleon with additions by The Landlord.
