Superb second LP by the Dublin-based post-punk art-rock quintet, who with shades of Deerhoof, Gang Of Four, but particularly New Yorkers Strokes and LCD Soundsystem, sharply capturing the crazy, creeping disquiet of the world, especially over the past 18 months. Formed by brothers formed by brothers Daniel and Killian O’Kelly, and joined by Emma Hanlon on bass, guitarist Peadar Kearney and drummer Gary Wickham, their material is filled with jagged pace changes and alongside the particularly droll and angry vocals by the former, with a softer but just as engaging is the melancholic and deft trill of Hanlon’s voice on, for example, the dynamic Wear My Medals or I’m Wild. Other standouts include the title track, A Job Worth Something, the rippling Recycle Culture, Carshade, and the short, sharp, revolving Rolodex City. Out on Full Time Hobby.
