With shades at times of early-80s Delta 5, a fabulously entertaining, sprightly, short ’n’ sharp, stop-start punk, post-punk full debut LP by the Nashville band who combine a fun DIY girl garage-rock interspersed with electronic beeps and random conversations. Out on Jack White’s Third Man Record label, this snappy album never allows you grow bored, leaping restlessly between one short track to another, from itchy opener Stretching to Bed Bugs, to Pod, the frenzied, fun singles Fitness, or Powerball, with other sharp cuts including Defect, Microbe, or Unable, barely pausing for a breath nor a song over 2 minutes, until 5-minute, infectiously lolloping, then accelerating, krautrock-ish closing number Running. Out on Third Man Records.
