After a period of stopping music for painting, the Toronto-born, London-based artist with a distinctively deep, gravelly voice returns with a strong set of dark, shoegazey, woozy indie with a whirling dervish of intertwining sounds. Standout tracks include Brexit At Tiffany’s, Wow, Do You Pray? Happy Birthday Forever, Good Morning Glory, and the piano-based closer Saint Michael. Parks is no newcomer, originally signed by Alan McGee to his label 359 Music releasing her debut solo album Blood Hot in 2013, after which she collaborated with Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre on 2015’s I Declare Nothing. Her new album is out on Fuzz Club Records and Hand Drawn Dracula.
