Taken from the charity EP, Power and Exclusion from Power (out on Underground Institute) released on the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a powerful anti-nationalist alternative electronica hymn by the Berlin-based Jewish-Ukranian political artist. The video features tongue-in-cheek socialist nostalgia, filmed in former east Berlin. To explore the rest of the EP, including the track I Am The Occupation (featuring Serafina Steer) and more work by Mary, see the other embedded links below. Her new tracks are the first to emerge of the recording sessions at Palazzo Stabile in Italy with Norwegian microtonal artist Peder Simonsen and mixed with producer Mike Lindsay of Tunng and Lump.

Put your dreams on a shelf
Watch them wither away
Watch them turn into hay
Watch them go the way of all things
Love is not a place
I was born in the year gas prices were low
May Day parades were to proceed as before
As though nothing had changed nothing had blown up
Everything's rotten, everything must go
