This serenely soulful debut by the Toronto singer-songwriter and producer is a slow, sensual, and mature, drawing on elements of gospel, folk, jazz and R&B, but is beautifully minimal and restrained. Gentle electric guitar, sometimes with sitar effect, piano and light drums dust her music. Standout tracks include I Can Only Whisper (featuring BADBADNOTGOOD), If I Could, Mountains, Lovesick Utopia (though it ends rather abruptly) and Keep Moving. Out on Stone Woman Music.
