Themed around ideas of trust, enthralling, intelligent experimental electronica alt-pop by the British artist Christopher Clark in a work that has occasional echoes Radiohead, flavoured by guest vocalist Thom Yorke who is also executive producer. Standouts include former Song of the Day Town Crank, the quiet, intimate piano-based title track, the delicately scrunchy Clutch Pearlers, the intricate electronica of Weddings, the otherworldly ambient build of Forest, Medicine (with Yorke on backing vocals and drums). and the intimate harmonies and shimmering synth sounds on Dolgach Tapes. Subtle, understated and delicately different. Out on Throttle Records.
