The Istanbul singer’s fourth album is an alluring fusion of Turkish folk and pop rhythms and instruments with psych-rock riffing with a spicier flavour, her seductive voice delivering heartbreak love stories and dark anthems of dissidence. This is release packed with gorgeously sexy sounds and melodies, oozing instrumentals that are exotic, complex and cinematic. Standouts include Kör Biçaklarin Ucunda, in which her cutting, love lament lyric translates as “I’m an Olympic swimmer in a razorblade pool ... I’m in love with you forever”, as well as Sen Benim Magaramsin, Biz Ne Zaman Düşman Olduk, the more stripped back Yaram Derin Derin Kanar, Biz Ne Zaman Düşman Olduk and the title track, though all 11 tracks offer a very tasty dish indeed.
