With agile, crisp clarity of voice, and a diversity of beats and styles, this is another clever hybrid LP of passionate, romantic cheeky, sassy Spanish-language, clubby pop by the Colombian-American singer, joined by high-profile Latin American guests. Uchis can switch effortlessly between English and Spanish, and alternates also between albums (see also the recent Red Moon In Venus), mixing reggaeton, particularly on Labios Mordidos, R&B, cumbia, dembow on Muñekitam and bolero on the closing Dame Beso / Muevete. It’s a mixed affair, but often better when she’s undiluted by guests nudging in with their AutoTune. Standouts include the seductive swooning style of switch-language Heladito, the passionate, Almodóvarian style of passionate high drama in Te Mata, Igual Que Un Ángel (where she is heavily pregnant in the video), and the gentle, ethereal pop of Pensamientos Intrusivos. Out on Geffen Records.
