Superbly full-bodied, catchy, lyrically wry electro-indie-pop LP by the singer-songwriter and guitarist from Stratford-on-Avon whose songs have a wonderful juddery momentum enhanced by her strong, deep voice. We previously featured the belting singles Babies and Saturated on Song of the Day, but there are many more to enjoy here, including Down For Fun, Drive, the bass thrum of I’ll Go On, the slow, simmering Violent Speed, Where The Bodies Are Buried, and the title track. She certainly has her own style, but for comparison, there are echoes of 80s new wave and Gary Numan, and comparisons with the powerful voice and songwriting of contemporary Du Blonde. Out on Second Breakfast and her website.
