Belfast’s answer to Amyl & the Sniffers pull no punches and leave no prisoners with their angry, shouty, catchy, feminist, caustically sharp and witty debut LP, their fast furious songs of social critique, from the energetic Riot Grrrl punk quartet of Beverley Boal, Bethany Crooks, Ciara King and Alanah Smith. They are a collective ball of shouty energy, unusual in that they constantly swap roles, with no one person being the lead singer. Explosive, raw, fun and fierce, the titles and message of each song speak for itselves, designed for a riotous, punch-the-air effect, ripping the piss out of many absurdities and backwards attitudes. Highlights include Advertising Services, Poverty Tourist, Lesbo 3000, Picture of Health, and TERFs Out, but the whole album is a total blast. Out on Alcopop! Records.
