Fascinatingly cool, crisp, delicate, experimental futuristic pop-funk by the band based in Bern, Switzerland, sprinkled with oddball instrumentation and electronica and including a guest appearance by bass legend Bootsy Collins, who appears on the groovy, otherworldly, existential single 8 Billion (“I sit here on the edge of space … I think I need your embrace.”) Among the highlights are eclectic opener Bowie, with a fast rap by guest Erick The Architect, the 70s feel, slightly Fleetwood Mac-style Run Run Run, the effortlessly chilled Easy, and the gently witty, harp-inflected Candid Mess featuring Joshua Idehen. Stylishly self-released.
