An exquisite album, hauntingly beautiful by the London and Romford singer-songwriter and pedal steel guitarist re-located to Nashville is reminiscent of Nick Drake with added electric guitar, organ, keyboards, flute and light percussion with a Tennessee twang. All are beautifully paced and weighted, with delicate delivery and thoughtul lyrics. Imminent Shadow is a standout, previously highlighted on Song of the Day, as well as Jack of Fools with Catlin Rose on backing vocals, the bird-twittering To Be Blinkered, the strange otherworldly Dieterich Buxterhude, Seaside, and The Tree, with added sitar both with Erin Rae, one of several guests whose vocal presence is also gentled sprinkled across this gorgeous piece of work. Out on Full Time Hobby as well as his website and Bandcamp.
