The harvest is home and what a high-protein weekend it turned out to be. I tend to like tight topics because I’m confused and indecisive at the other end when confronted with too much choice. I did start to worry at a couple of points that The Bar was losing focus and drifting away to the fruit machines but there were second, third and fourth waves and in the end … I had waaay too much top quality, absolutely cracking choice! Probably the most difficult topic I’ve done in terms of narrowing down the playlists, so much great stuff left strewn on the forest floor for the foragers who follow. Fortunately, I was emboldened by a few brave super-listers in recent months and stuck with what sounded just right to my ears, so a week where you are getting an awful lot of nutty and some seedy tunes to the pound. At one point there was a Drupe D-list but that way disco-indigestion lay.
