Driving rhythm, funky guitar, powerful horns and unmistakeable voice? The northern soul legend from Brooklyn, and regularly at the Wigan Casino, returns with a majestic new anti-war single, the first for 10 years. Dean Parrish’s style is a psychedelic soul in the manner of Norman Whitfield, and he is best known for I’m On My Way, originally released in 1967, and then again in 1975, the last record to be played every week at the Wigan Casino. The new release is out on Acid Jazz Records, with the Bandcamp page embedded below, as well as his most famous song.
