A punchy, anthemic, uplifting new indie-pop single, the first from the English band’s forthcoming fourth LP, Good Time/Hard Time, out next spring, is all about making the most of our time while we have it. Out on Moshi Moshi.
As frontman Thomas Sanders explains: “This song is an affirmation that life is priceless and precious even though things can seem heavy. I often get lost for days and weeks in a really low place where I’m just waiting to come out the other side. In these depressive moments it helps to remind myself that it’s a short life – days are limited so lets snap out of it!”

Hello again, yeah, it's me again
I said I'd be back and be your friend
Peace & love, flowers in your hair
Look out of the window, Jesus is standing there
Take a picture, share it online
What's on the TV? It's a short life
It's a short little life
Wait a minute, this isn't right
The world is turning, and I'm still in the line
Change my hair, and change my dress
But the feelings follow wherever you [?]
Sing it for money, dance if you like
Take a picture, it's a short life
I wanna feel alive, I wanna feel alive
It's a short life, a short life
Burn the moment down, turn it back
It's a short life, a short life
Burn the moment down, turn it back
A short life underneath the same sun
So hold on to someone
It's a short life, a short life
So dance with someone, come on
Hello again, from a bad friend
I'm good for nothing, but I'm good for something
What's in my pocket, what's up my sleeve
You couldn't pick any card, so what do you need?
A silly monkey, dancing online
Take a picture, it's a short life
It's a short little life, I wanna feel alive
It's a short life, a short life
Burn the moment down, turn it back
It's a short life, a short life
Burn the moment down, turn it back
A short life underneath the same sun
So hold on to someone
It's a short life, a short life
So dance with someone you like
