Taken from their forthcoming album Talk Talk Talk, witty garage rock/post-punk by the four-piece self-described “eyebrow” band from Los Angeles with shades of Devo and The Runaways, and out on Third Man Records. The Paranoyds are Lexi Funston (guitar, bass & vocals), Staz Lindes (bass, guitar, & vocals), Laila Hashemi (keyboards & vocals), and David Ruiz (drums). Talk Talk Talk is out on 3 September. As well as the fun, ironic, retro-style video, to explore and enjoy more of their work, see the other embedded links below.
They might come after me, I can't help it I'm into Lizzie
She's strangely busy, rehearsing so to speak
He rode a spaceship so that she could be an actress
Be on TV, a few feature movies
Cosmically I don't believe in sights that remain unseen
Unfounded memories from 1950
Panhandling fantasies of a higher being
Why can't she just believe in me? Ask me, anything! Ask me, anything!
Went down to sunset and vine to grab a pamphlet
A smile brought me inside, hands soft and smells nice
Am I too depressed to want success?
Is this a test? She answered "yes"
Cosmically I don't believe in sights that remain unseen
Unfounded memories from 1950
Panhandling fantasies of a higher being
Why can't she just believe in me?
Ask me, anything! Ask me, anything!
Ask me, anything! Ask me, anything!
