This mesmerically vivid, dark, atmospheric and geologically themed number about isolation is by the electro-goth-post-punk band from Brussels fronted by Fenne Kuppens and comes the forthcoming album Several Others. With a very distinctive, haunting very deep female voice, guitar and keyboard sounds, the quintet’s influences hail from early 80s British bands such as Josef K, Coil, Repetition, Current 93, Cabaret Voltaire and above all Joy Division, featuring of course, Ian Curtis. I’ve heard they seldom surface
If they’re buried deep enough
I’ve heard they seldom surface
If they’re buried deep enough
But you keep fingering under my skin
Trying to dig them up
My eyes are opened wide
Yet you appear a dream
Solitary minds think alike
Facing reality
You want that sweet embrace
To slit me out of my shape
To absorb me and unveil
The raw canvas that you crave
So close now
So close, so closе, so close
So close
So close now
So closе, so close, so close
So closed off
All stiffened up
I’ve heard they seldom surface
If they’re flung far into the flood
But you dive right in, unwavering
Dissolve in my blood
And in that sweet embrace
I slide out of my shape
You absorb me and unveil
The raw canvas that you crave
So close now
So close, so close, so close
So close
So close now
So close, so close, so close
So close
So close now
So close, so close, so close
So close
Suck me in
Suck me in
Suck me in
Before I sink back into shape
Suck me in
Before I sink back into shape
Suck me in
Before I sink back into shape
Suck me in
Suck me in
So close now
So close, so close, so close
So close
So close now
So close, so close, so close
So closed off
All stiffened up
You never made them surface
Because I'm buried deep enough
