As a tribute to the suddenly and sadly departed Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell, the song that not only captures the essence of his sound, but with a title that also captures the pained pleasure of the grunge movement in which he was very much a pioneer. Describing it as a "surreal dreamscape". "Times are gone for honest men," tolls the famous line. Nothing changes then. But the slower, powerful guitar sound, and his impressive voice are hallmarks of an explosion of a genre that came from Seattle alongside Alice in Chains, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam, and this song in particular carries a distinctive, dark beauty. Rest in peace.
