Perfect pop delivered by the Newcastle electronic duo of Andrew Hodson and Steve Jefferis from their new album Flight of Ideas, their work influenced by Can, Giorgio Moroder and Chemical Brothers, and here with vocals by Delgados’ Emma Pollock. This particular song refers the mid-century approach to psychotherapy which required the therapist to remove the ‘self’ from their view of the patient, and remain distant.
“Don’t want to be the victim of affection
Don’t want to be the breaker of convention.”
Warm Digits have also collaborated with many others, including Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley, Field Music, Maximo Park’s Paul Smith, The Lovely Eggs, The Orielles, and Rozi Plain. Out on Memphis Industries, more of their music can be found here.
