After a series of French songs, time to move to Belgium, a beautifully quirky, percussive, woodwind-whistle-y version of a song by the long-running experimental band co-founded by Marc Hollander who also founded and runs the Crammed Discs label. The song also features long-time band member Véronique Vincent whose voice is preserved on this remix by the London-based psychedelic pop quintet headed by Cathy Lucas. Vanishing Twin have also been featured on this Song Bar section.
This version of Silhouettes comes from the new Aksak Maboul EP, Tous KO, with other remixes, and is the second EP derived from the experimental pop band’s acclaimed Figures album. To enjoy and buy more of the work of Aksak Maboul, visit the Bandcamp page, also embedded below. Out on Crammed Discs.
